Business settings decide what prints on every receipt and how every report is calculated. Spend three minutes here now and you will not need to fix old receipts later.
Settings to fill in
- Business name and logo: printed on receipts and invoices and shown on your online store. Use a square logo at least 300 pixels wide.
- Currency: set from your country at sign-up. Decimal places follow your currency (cents for USD, fils for AED; PKR is usually shown without decimals).
- Time zone: sets which day a late-night sale belongs to. Restaurants open past midnight should check this carefully.
- Financial year start: used by the yearly profit and tax reports.
- Tax number: your EIN (US), TRN (UAE) or NTN/STRN (Pakistan) if you want it printed on invoices.
- Date and time format: MM/DD/YYYY and 12-hour for the US by default; DD/MM/YYYY for the UAE and Pakistan.
Where to find it
Settings → Business settings. Use the search box at the top of the settings page to jump straight to a setting by name.
Tips
- Upload the logo before you print a test receipt so you can see it at thermal-printer size.
- If you trade under a different name than your legal name, put the trading name in Business name and the legal name in the invoice footer.
