What SmartPOS handles per country
Currency
Each business runs in its own currency (USD, AED, PKR and others) with the right decimal places. Multi-currency setup covers businesses that need more.
Tax rates and groups
Store any number of rates, combine them into groups (state + city, federal + provincial), and set each product inclusive or exclusive of tax.
Receipt and invoice layouts
Per location and language: your tax number (EIN, TRN, NTN), tax shown per line or at the bottom, QR codes, bilingual labels.
Dates and numbers
MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY, 12- or 24-hour time, thousands separators and decimal precision per business.
Language and direction
Interface per user, receipts per location, right to left for Arabic and Urdu.
What we do not claim
No fiscal printer, FTA e-invoicing or FBR integration certification. ZATCA e-invoicing for Saudi Arabia is a separate add-on module.

United StatesSmartPOS is sold across the United States in US dollars, with prices shown before sales tax the way American shoppers expect.
United Arab EmiratesSmartPOS is sold in the UAE in dirhams, with prices that already include 5% VAT, as UAE consumer rules expect.

Country and tax questions

01Can a POS handle different taxes in different countries?
SmartPOS stores tax rates and groups per business, so a US shop uses state and local sales tax, a UAE shop 5% VAT included in prices, and a Pakistani shop federal and provincial sales tax. You enter the rates; we do not file returns.

02Which countries is SmartPOS sold in?
The USA, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, priced in USD, AED and PKR.

03Why are prices different in each country?
Each market is priced for local buying power and tax display rules, not converted from dollars. That is why Pakistan prices are far lower than US prices.

04Can I run shops in two countries on one account?
Each business runs in one main currency. Owners with shops in two countries usually run two businesses; ask on your demo.

05Is SmartPOS certified for e-invoicing?
No country certification is claimed. ZATCA e-invoicing for Saudi Arabia is available as a separate add-on module; UAE FTA e-invoicing and FBR POS integration in Pakistan are not.

06Can receipts show my tax number?
Yes. Invoice layouts can show your EIN, TRN or NTN/STRN and print tax per line or at invoice level.

07Are UAE prices VAT-inclusive on receipts?
Set products as tax-inclusive and the receipt shows the VAT contained in the price.

08Do you support other countries?
Not yet. We will add markets when we can price, support and sell in them properly.
